This book was king of a blind buy. I seen one review of it on TikTok and said “why not?” I skimmed over the introduction and decided it COULD be a decent read. But it wasn’t. It was a great one. I couldn’t put the book down. I found myself wanting to skip some parts only because the author did a great job of having the reader second guessing what will come next. It did not end how I expected it. The author did a really good job of changing my perspective on death.
Haunting and beautiful
This was one of my favorite reads this year hands down. Balanced, beautiful, and macabre. I’d read it again and again.
