In Amanda McCabe’s A Convenient Winter Wedding: marrying Connor O’Neill is about survival for penniless heiress May Van Der Berg. The distant self-made millionaire is far from the passionate husband she’d once dreamed of…except for that scorching kiss! In Lauri Robinson’s The Railroad Baron's Mistletoe Bride: after years of estrangement, romance blooms when Kurt invites store clerk Harper and their shared niece to spend Christmas at his mansion. But are they just a family for the holidays?

A Gilded Age Christmas
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this charming tale of life from a long ago era. The depictions of the lavish lifestyles of the Gilded Age from the clothing to the decor placed you right in the period. Romantic tension was woven throughout the tale, with lots of suspenseful uncertainties as to the outcome between the primary characters.
As a bonus, two additional short stories from the same era followed the main tale. Both included a clear connection with a man and a woman strongly attracted to each other, but facing circumstances that complicated any opportunity for romance.
