A History of the Church of England

Perry's history, while stylistically entrenched in late nineteenth century, attempts to build on previous accounts of the evolution of the Church of England. Perry focuses on Henry VIII's relationship with Wolsey, Anne Boleyn, Thomas Cranmer, Thomas Cromwell, and his divorce from Catherine of Aragon.
