Off the Leash – by David Vandyke. There’s not much left that can surprise private investigator California “Cal” Corwin any more, especially since the accident. Mr. Mockingbird Drive – by Robert Swartwood. Julio and Tyshawn are far from professional thieves, but they get by. Ladies Weekend – by Ryan King. A trip to the Gulf Shores with her three sisters-in-law was not exactly Cathy’s idea of a good time. Veritas: Concubine – by R.S. Guthrie. How far would you go to find the truth? Shale Veritas is not his real name, but that’s not important. You have been warned.

Very questionable language and misspelling names

Mr Mockingbird Drive: The language was vulgar, very offensive and totally unnecessary!

Veritas Concubine: The woman’s first name was incorrectly written as Francis (the male spelling) rather than Frances (the female spelling)!

Recidivist: The frequent use of 4-letter words was completely unnecessary!

Eight The Hard Way

Whoever said the short story is dead was sadly mistaken. These stories are great!
