Asherton's young offenders institute had a hard punishment regime including severe thrashings and sexual activities at the hands of the warders.

Annabel finds out all too soon what this all means and when she joins an escape plot that goes wrong, the five girls who are caught are subjected to the ultimate pain regime as they are prepared for a life that will be very different to the one they had before being sent to Asherton's.
