A Liaden Universe Constellation, Volume 4
I love the Liaden Universe that Sharon Lee and Steve Miller have created. There are (I think) 23 full length novels, 4 “Constellation” books of short stories set in that universe, and a multitude of smaller books of short stories. I started with The Dragon Variation (3 full length novels at various points within the series), which I think may have been recommended by Nalini Singh. It encouraged me to backtrack and start it in chronological order. Now that I’ve finished the 23 novels and the 4 Constellation books, I’m going to backtrack and pick up whatever short stories I haven’t already read. You don’t have to have read the series to read the Constellation books. I enjoyed seeing the characters I was familiar with, and meeting new ones. An excellent series.
