Publisher Description
They find his body at the bottom of Heceta Head Lighthouse—Ed Boone, a longtime volunteer who commits suicide rather than see his grim diagnosis to its bitter end. The strangeness of the old man's death makes the local news, but Garrison Gage thinks little of it until the famous Nora West sneaks into town with an unsettling letter in hand.
Professing he wants to go to his grave with a clear conscience, Ed claims to be Nora's biological father. But the revelation stirs up all kinds of complicated emotions for the talented but troubled musician, who hires Gage to find out the truth.
Yet the truth may be a lot more disturbing — and dangerous — than either of them expect.

A good read
I recommend the entire series. Start at the beginning. This is book 5…
You’ll laugh at the occasional humor. You’ll enjoy the suspense. The characters are well detailed. Yea some of the story may be a bit far fetched but that’s fiction. They’re great reads. Don’t miss them
Lighthouse for a Lonely Heart
Still loving this series. Thanks for another great read.
Just stupid
It this supposedly smart PI to page 348 to ‘get the idea’ that a DNA test would be a good idea if he wanted to see if Ed Bourne was the father of his client. Seriously? Why did she even need to hire a PI in the first place? No more of this author’s stupid characters, stupid dialogue, and stupid plot for me. I can’t read the works of someone so insulting of his reader’s intelligence. It’s just not enjoyable. Oh, and we are suppose to believe bad guys can break into a hotel room and a Boston terrier is not going to make a sound. Please. Twelve hundred pages of garbage!
