A Little Brother to the Bear, and other Animal Studies

This collection of animal stories, written by the American writer, naturalist, and minister William Joseph Long (1866-1952), draws on his observations of years spent in the wildernesses of Maine and Nova Scotia. The stories support Long’s controversial belief that animals utilized more than instinct and could become individuals within their species.
