Disappointing
Storyline had potential, but their love wasn’t believable given what they really thought of each other … especially what he thought of her. Therefore, at the end, the tension wasn’t there. I think he should have learned more about her, slowly realizing, or at least seeming to, that she was innocent of all he accused her, so we could believe he loved her. Without that, it just felt like unwanted desire. We should have felt her happiness at being loved by him, so we could also feel the sting of his seeming betrayal. We should have felt his pain at being rejected so we could feel happy at his realization that she wasn’t what he thought she was. The emotional components weren’t there, so it just felt flat.
