A Magical Day

Over the past decades, the town has been threatened by forest fires. Greer survives and improves without the bane of over population, fast food outlets or movie theaters. 

Fishing the streams, hiking the mountains and hills, and finding the hidden places where few have tread will likely be part of your time in Greer.

Marie, a Journalist, unmarried, and lovely sees it all in her storied experiences trying to finish an article for her Phoenix editor by the deadline. In the end, she wonders if anyone will believe it…anyone other than Paul.

The little store on the cover has been there for generations now. Not always with the name Lazy Trout, but there for the kids, the fishermen and the visitors. You can sit on the porch, buy some lures or even rent a cabin. You may be honored by the smiles and laughs of the children known as the “Change Gang,” who shop for the candy or ice cream after a walk from the forest with their nickels and dimes. You may even feel the “Magic” as you visit.
