A Message to Garcia

Elbert Green Hubbard (1856 – 1915) was a famous American writer of the 19-th century, publisher, artist and philosopher. Hubbard is mostly known as the founder of the Roycroft artisan community in East Aurora, New York, an influential exponent of the Arts and Crafts Movement.

“Message to Garcia” was originally considered as a historical filler without a title. It was represented as historical diary in the times of tension increasing between the United States and Spain. In the case of war with Spain, the President William Mckinley orders Colonel Arthur L.Wagner to seek Calixto Garcia, one of the commander of the rebels, who will be very good ally.
