APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Suspense master David Baldacci’s second Atlee Pine novel tells us more about the FBI agent’s troubled back story while plunging us into a thrilling investigation into a serial killer. Pine’s twin sister disappeared 30 years ago, and now she’s returning to her hometown in hopes of solving the mystery, which may be tied to a more recent string of murders. The action is kinetic, and Baldacci also vividly fleshes out the townspeople and their struggles. A Minute to Midnight is an intricate mystery that allows us to piece together the puzzle alongside Pine as she methodically teases out facts while facing down her own long-suppressed traumatic memories. It put us right into Pine’s head every step of the way, and we cared for her as much as we wanted to solve the mystery.

A Minute to Midnight
I couldn’t stop reading this book! It was even better than the first one, and I loved it, too. The plot was intricate with two story lines
to follow, but it was so well written that it wasn’t confusing at all. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. Soon I hope!
Disappointed. Expected the Mercy Mystery to be solved but I guess that’s what will keep the series going. Should have paid attention to other reviews.
Boring! First of his books I couldn’t finish!
