Herbert George Wells known as H. G. Wells was a prolific English writer in many genres, including the novel, history, politics, and social commentary, and textbooks and rules for war games. 

The Beautiful Suit is a short story by H.G. Wells originally published under the title "A Moonlight Fable". Written in the manner of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, the story features but two characters: an unnamed "little man," and his mother.
