Investigating a possible missing interpretation of some familiar or unfamiliar Chinese ideograms from a painter’s point of view, this series of hypothesis is realised for my parents who generously supported my fruitful year as a passionate visiting student of art at Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland in 1980-1981.
Special thank you therefore to Sir Robin Philipson who introduced me to Professor J. Cumming for my postgraduate studies, with whom I began the research on Chinese Calligraphy, colour and poetry in 1982-1983.
