The plans are made, and Lucas and Julia's goal as a couple is simple – to have a beautiful wedding at the church and a small reception at the campground clubhouse.  However, some of the church members won't hear of anything small for their beloved church secretary.  Plus, the family still has concern for Lucas's recently injured brother, who has been pushing himself too much in his recovery.  Weddings are exciting, anticipated, and planned – but they don't always happen as they are envisioned.

The fictional town of Pineville, Wisconsin is a place where holidays are celebrated with the festivity of years gone by.  The people care about one another, their town, and finding the joy in the little things in life.
