When Sydney Carter leaves Summerville, South Carolina at the advice of her now deceased father, she finds herself at a crossroads.

Leaving behind her live-in boyfriend, she travels through towns, counties, mountains, and valleys in search of a place to call home.
Just when she’s about to give up, she comes across a charming little town called Merlot, Montana, that’s nestled in the foothills of wine country. Calling herself a wine enthusiast, she believes this could be her happy place.
Having never been truly happy, she’s unsure if happiness is a tangible thing in life or if it’s a warm feeling that’s deep inside your heart that explodes through your entire soul.

But after meeting the pleasing, delightful, and sophisticated Stetson, she’s absolutely positive she belongs in Merlot, Montana.
