Get Ready to Jam
I enjoyed the simplicity of this novel, Maggie loses her mother, her dad begins drinking heavily and she decides she wants to be in a band. Although the plot was simple, the topics were hard-hitting, emotional. A Punk Rock Love Song plays to anyone who's experienced loss, awkward teenage years when everything is confusing and beautiful all at once.
C.I. fills the pages with fast moving prose, yet keeps the reader's interest with a wonderful young adult story. Anyone looking for a book that will make them laugh, smile, cry or cringe, look no further. It might even make you want to bust out that dusty bass or guitar you've got stashed away in the closet. A wonderful read, check it out!
