Awesome
Adrian is in jail awaiting trial for murder, which of course will be fair, when the story opens. Samantha is on the run from the law and her old life. The bad part, one of them, is that Adrian believes Samantha led Kendrick to him. It doesn’t seem that all the plotting and praying she can do will save Adrian. Or will it? At the end of the last book, I asked what would happen next. The answer, a lot! The atmosphere is still dark. There is still mystery, old and new, secrets, murder, kidnapping, child-trafficking, jail-break, more than one rescue, and a romance that desperately needs restarting. The “new” villain in this one is a bit surprising. This is another well-written, hard-to-put-down, edge-of-your-seat episode in an entertaining and interesting series. Adrian, Samantha, and their cohorts are awesome. I’m even coming to like Kendrick. What will happen next?
