A Sharp Medicine is the fifth in the series about Zack Taylor, a man with many problems. He struggles to do better, but the deeds of his past weigh him down. When he tries to help others, he finds that doing good is a complicated matter, and unintended consequences force life-changing alterations.
He is more acquainted with death than most people. The ironic words of Raleigh indicate a man resigned to his Fate, but one who still will go out in style. Zack, though tempted yet again to give up, still clings to life in an effort to make a difference.
