A Sky Without Stars

In Nazi-occupied Amsterdam, survival means three choices:

Adapt. Frank keeps his head down. Silence keeps him alive, until silence becomes complicity.
Resist. Elise prints posters and spreads hope, until a neighbour reports her to the authorities.
Cooperate. Lodewijk follows orders and gives them. It keeps him alive, until the choices become unbearable.

No path is safe. Every choice has a price.

When the family downstairs is taken away, Frank can no longer hide. Hannah is just a child. He cannot save her, but he cannot leave her exposed.
