Bill always knew his father was a terrible man. He had grown up with the sting of beatings most of his life. His childhood was full of pain and anger and disappointment. He vowed to break the cycle.

He joined the Army. He did everything right. He met and married his true love. He had two beautiful children. He found a sister he never knew. He overcame his past.
