Dated Even When Written
I bought this collection primarily to re-read The Sound of Thunder and expected as much from the rest but was disappointed. The stories are amateurish at best with much sexism (women always subject to men), racism (black people always servants; Mexicans always poor) with only the last few in the collection leaving this nonsense behind for the most part. I am not saying these things as a 21st century male but as someone who probably read them, or stories like them, when they were first written and thought the same exact thing even then. It is THAT obvious that even as a kid and teenager I noticed it and was disgusted by it making it just as difficult reading them today to think of them as "period pieces" with period ways of thinking. Ray Bradbury was one of the great authors in his novels but this early stuff should just disappear as it's not worth the ink/pixels it's written with.
