A MUST READ
This a great book, the first half is with Sherlock holmes/Watson and the second with the background to the story. It's sad, but an amazing read all the same.
A great read
This book was completely engaging and Conan Doyle definitely displayed many influences that were prominent in his era. I throughly enjoyed the read and recommend this book to others.
The basic plot revolves around a mystery where Holmes has been engaged to help. It also explains the beginning of the friendship between Watsons and Holmes.
A Study in Scarlet
Sir Conan Doyle seldom disappoints and this text is no different. I particularly enjoyed the chapters set in Utah and the unique perspective of early Mormonism. A most surprising twist for this author!
