But when she needs weight loss surgery to treat her diabetes, Kristina Rose sees this as her chance to finally find a prince of her own.

Jeffrey Berkley’s life is all planned out, but Jeffrey can’t see himself following in his dad’s footsteps. Working as the diner’s cook, as much as he enjoys it, is delaying the inevitable.

But as Kristina’s absence from the diner where they both work grows longer, they’ll both find themselves questioning what—and who—they want in life. Will they learn to stand up for themselves to get their happily ever afters of their own?

Don’t miss the chance to lose your heart to Kristina Rose, Jeffrey, and the entire town of Sweet Grove in this moving saga of faith, hope, and love from a New York Times bestselling author.

Great read ;)

A very good contemporary romance story involving likable characters going through real life situations. The character, storyline, & plot are well developed. I'm looking forward to reading more by this author! ;)

Love the happy ending!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I can relate to many of the characters in this story. Melissa knows how to tell it like it is with all the feelings - negative and positive - that can run through a person's mind. I'm glad that this had a happy ending as well. It left me feeling good inside. And yet there is just enough of a teaser at the end that makes me want to keep on reading more. I'm so looking forward to reading more of Melissa's books.

Sweet, Faith-based romance

Kristina Rose's decision to undergo gastric bypass surgery is the first step in her journey to self-esteem and learning to trust God. Jeffrey has no inclination to follow in his father's career path yet he hesitates to let his wishes known. They were best friends and both secretly wanted to share their love for each other. This was an enjoyable book with loveable characters with realistic problems and feelings.
