Publisher Description

Sometimes your life is split by a single decision.

I’ve spent every day of the last seven years regretting mine: he left, and I didn’t follow. A

thousand letters went unanswered, my words like petals in the wind, spinning away into nothing,

taking me with them.

But now he’s back.

I barely recognize the man he’s become, but I can still see a glimmer of the boy who asked me

to be his forever, the boy I walked away from when I was young and afraid.

Maybe if he’d come home under better circumstances, he could speak to me without anger in

his voice. Maybe if I’d said yes all those years ago, he’d look at me without the weight of

rejection in his eyes. Maybe if things were different, we would have had a chance.

One decision sent him away. One painful journey brought him back to me. I only wish I could

keep him.

Hard to get into

It wasn’t a bad story. Just felt like it dragged on longer than it needed to and I ended up skimming through some of the chapters. Elliot grew up with low self esteem so it makes sense why she isn’t able to communicate her feelings and continuously justifies her family’s behaviors. Wade seems like he’s too proud or just too afraid to talk to her. If Elliot’s actions hurt him that deeply then he should want to know why. Instead he just got angry and shut down just because nothing was going the way he wanted it to. It’s not a bad story but it’s just not for me.

A Thousand Letters

Even better than I hoped! It had a bit of intrigue, a bit of love, and a lot of caring and a lot of patience. I truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Even shed a few tears.

Thank you!
