A young Indiana farm-boy, marries his high school girlfriend soon after graduation. Their struggles with handling financial needs begin and end when a tragedy breaks up the marriage and he loses his precious son. He overcomes a bout with alcohol then joins the Army. Later, returning from Korea, an injured hero, he turns to God for relief from the excruciating pain. Beginning a new life at Indiana University he meets a young Christian girl, Beverly Ann Bates. Casting her eyes upon him brings down her wall of protection from all men; and his decision to never marry again disappears. But his bitterness and broken-heart of the past remain a burden. Will Beverly's faith in God and love for him be enough for him to overcome the past and fulfill the Lord's command to forgive?
James Edward Rady, was born on a farm in Indiana and reared in the community of Roachdale. He earned BA and MS degrees from Indiana University. He retired from a career in Indiana schools as a teacher/administrator. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard during World War II and retired as a Major in the U.S. Army, with service during Korean and Vietnam wars. He has written educational newsletters, brochures, and booklets and Christian Tracts; plus writing and teaching Bible Study and Adult Sunday School classes. He has been a radio news reporter and producer/moderator of a cable TV Talk Show. He has published three books of poetry, and at age 85, he completed his first novel, a Civil War story, Love Finds a Way. His second novel, A Time to Forgive, was completed at age 88.
He and his wife, Roberta, currently reside in Lima, Ohio.
