Don’t miss a sneak peek of Sycamore Row, John Grisham’s new novel inspired by A Time to Kill, in the back of the book.
The life of a ten-year-old girl is shattered by two drunken and remorseless young men. The mostly white town of Clanton in Ford County, Mississippi, reacts with shock and horror at the inhuman crime. Until her black father acquires an assault rifle and takes justice into his own outraged hands.
For ten days, as burning crosses and the crack of sniper fire spread through the streets of Clanton, the nation sits spellbound as young defense attorney Jake Brigance struggles to save his client’s life–and then his own.

A Time to Kill
This was an ABSOLUTE page turner. It did NOT disappoint
I read this book a long time ago and decided to read it again. I remember liking it, but didn’t remember any of the details except for the beginning. The rest was like reading it for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it again. I loved the characters, I loved the story. Disturbing, scary, filled with love, hatred, bigotry and family loyalty. Fiction storytelling at its best, in my opinion. Glad to rate this 5 stars!
As of right now I haven't had the opportunity to read any of Mr Grisham books within the last year or so because of a lot of tragedies in my life. But him and James Patterson are my favorite authors so I have no doubt that these books will be just as good and inviting as everything else they have written. Can't wait to get caught up.
