A Victim

This is the story of a woman born in 1928 ,her problems, her lifestyle,conditions at her birth and subsequent years from childhood, through the war years and post war era to retirement
Her marriage and an account of her husband's life.His childhood in care from age 4 to 16.
His wartime experience as a Desert Rat under General Montgomery.The death of his first wife while he was serving in the army His subsequent civilian life, his studying,where they met and his life as an accountant and company secretary.

After the birth of their third child her mental breakdown and hospitalisation. Then home again and another baby led to her living with her parents for five years.during which time her mother died after a long and painful cancer
Returning to her family , she was advised to work and entered The Civil Service working in the Home Office (Prison Service)Lord Chancellors (Old Bailey) and HM Customs and Excise where I was a Vat Inspector.The work was interesting and varied, On retirement she spent considerable time on Church work (R.C.) and on pilgrimages .The author hopes that her children will enjoy the book and benefit from her experiences, and that it will also help others who face similar problems in life.
