Un-put-down-able! A Walk on the Wild Side is almost too hot to handle! Blazing action, ever simmering danger, and a burning, burgeoning love in the midst of it all - thought I'd scorch my fingers holding on to my e-reader. J.P. O'Neill is the hero/villain - an undercover narc for sure, but is he one of the good ones? Or has he gone rogue? Not even his lawyer, Lauren, knows for sure. Staid, steady, buttoned-up and locked-down Lauren is asked to defend J.P. as a favor to her boss. He's not what you'd call cooperative, but she gives it her best shot. When she loses the first round in court, J.P. lose it, and kidnaps her! It's a Hail Mary move, the first of many in this heart-pumping, nail-biting, panty-melting tale of trust and betrayal, love and sacrifice, with an HEA as solid and satisfying as a chunk of fudge to top it off. J.P.'s mad acting skills disguise a bone-deep sincerity, while Lauren's brittle shields against loss and grief are no match for the heart and the heat he generates in her.
