Meh “Collect the Set” Isekai
I was a bit dubious after reading the sample, but gave it a chance anyway. It’s not as bad as some isekai, and it at least doesn’t exploit some of the common bad isekai tropes. But the writing is pedestrian at best, and sometimes feels disjointed. And the characters aren’t compelling in any way. Having finished the first volume, I’m not invested enough in the characters, or the “collect my old companion monsters” plot mechanism, to want to read the remaining eight volumes.
