Customer Reviews
A Winter Grave
I loved this book. My sons are half Scottish and I have always been fascinated and interested in the Scottish culture and history. I wasn’t sure I would like the fact that it’s set 25 years in the future, but it turned out that it really didn’t matter much. Though technology had changed, people hadn’t, and sadly neither had the climate and the environment much , if at all.
Peter May is a gifted writer and can put thoughts and feelings into his written words. That is special and unique. And his dialogue is so believable. I’ve read 2 books previously and will definitely read more. He has a wonderful imagination. It’s a joy to find a writer I really like.

A terrific read
Outstanding plot and deft characterization.
A Winter Grave
Would have been much better without the dark, dystopian 1984-ish future messing up a good Scottish mystery.
