Originally published in 1968, Ursula K. Le Guin’s A Wizard of Earthsea marks the first of the six now beloved Earthsea titles. Ged was the greatest sorcerer in Earthsea, but in his youth he was the reckless Sparrowhawk. In his hunger for power and knowledge, he tampered with long-held secrets and loosed a terrible shadow upon the world. This is the tumultuous tale of his testing, how he mastered the mighty words of power, tamed an ancient dragon, and crossed death's threshold to restore the balance.

One of very few best series
I’m EXTREMELY picky about what’s good and what’s bad, but this it me exactly where the 1 of now 3 best series, and I have read 58. It’s good because books with guns are usually just “BAM, your dead,” and this book doesn’t have any, but then there are mythical creatures and magic, so worth reading
Pretty good book!
I though it was a good book! It did get a little boring in the middle how Ged (Duny), just kept looking for the shadow and it was pretty much the same thing the whole time until the end! If you’re one of those Harry Potter people who love waiting until the end for the big part, this is definitely your book to read! Also, if you’re one of those Percy Jackson book series kind of people who need action the whole time, this is also your book because there is just a hint of action in the beginning. I recommend this book for 8+. No curse words or anything like that, so, it’s a pretty good book. I’m gonna stop here before I spoil the book but here’s a hint. Is Ged the shadow? Does he have to take the spill and admit he’s part of the shadow, or is he nothing like it and has just made the biggest mistake of his life? Read to the end to find out!
It was so hard to read
It took me so long to read this book, and I honestly didn’t enjoy it.
