An omnibus volume of three classic, long-unavailable Darkover novels--Star of Danger, The Bloody Sun, and Winds of Darkover--tell of two men of mixed Darkovan ancestry, who must choose where their true allegiances lie.
Darkover once more,,
I enjoyed the book and it is true to the MZB writings. Read it!
Reading these stories was a totally enjoyable experience. In terms of prose I couldn't ask or more. The imagery and action are crystal clear and compelling. If only the stories were a little better crafted. The development of relationships between characters is a bit simplistic and the endings are too pat. With that said, I am still grateful to find an author who does not rely on over detailed nerdiness or heroic violence make a statement.
