Publisher Description
Aurora Halle McPhee, a girl of humble (some might say unconventional) background, cannot believe her luck when she is betrothed to the dashing, well-bred Harland Podell. Aurora soon learns, however, that the match is too good to be true when the nuptials are interrupted--by the brother of the groom's wife!
Kenyon Warriner, Earl of Windham, is determined to foil that bigamous bounder Podell, before he disgraces another innocent female as he did Kenyon's own sister. The earl will save Miss McPhee's honor.
Even if he must wed her himself...
Customer Reviews
I want Ned to come work for me!
If I ever want a good giggle, I pick up this book. Metzger does an amazing job giving us well rounded characters who we can get behind and root for. My paperback is worn out.
A Worthy Wife is a worthy read
This book was the best read when I first laid my hands on it in paperback, and it still is after all these years. The hero and his wife have the best of what you look for in any of Barbara Metzger's books. Even many of the secondary characters find the way to romance or to what they deserve. She keeps up with the humor and romance that I love to find in any romance book that I read. Young and old should try this book out, if it's your first regency romance or not this book is a truly Worthy Read and great book for anyone's library.
