A Ye Shengtao Reader(English edition‪)‬

Ye Shengtao, whose real name was Ye Shaojun and courtesy name Shengtao, is a wellknown author, educator, editor, publisher and social activist. Being the first writer who created fairy tales in the 1920s, he published “The Scarecrow” in 1923, which has won great popularity among children. His “The Stone Statue of an Ancient Hero”, a simple but readable story, tells about how a piece of stone was carved into a statue of hero, the moral of which is to ridicule the arrogance of authorities and the August 2013 numbness of the public.
