A Year in the Fields

The northeastern United States. While Muir writes describing the scenery, Burroughs writes about the plant and animals he sees during a year in New England. Speaking as a biologist, some of his bird names are not the same as we use today. This style of writing is just what I like to read as non-technical, relaxing prose.
