When a spirited Scottish lass crosses paths with a charismatic Outlander, sparks fly that threaten to set fire to their separate worlds…
Vibrant Fiona MacLeod has never left the Isle of Skye, except in the pages of cherished books. However, everything changes when her mother makes a deathbed request that Fi travel to Falkland Palace and experience the royal court. It may be her last chance to see the world before she is married off to a controlling Highland warrior.
Across the ocean in Europe, architect Christophe de St. Briac is perfectly happy with his life. He’s a rising star among the artistic builders of the Renaissance and has his pick of women to warm his bed - until his king pressures him to accept a project at Scotland’s Falkland Palace.
Although Fiona and Christophe are from different worlds, they soon find their passionate souls have everything in common. But while they seem to be on a collision course with destiny, unseen forces are conspiring to keep them apart…

Who else could bring together a Frenchman and a Scottish Lass successfully other than Cynthia Wright? Was so pleased to see the St. Briac family saga continued through Christophe. Thought the characters were strong and the storyline worked well on its own for those who haven’t read You and No other yet!
Abducted at the Alter
Cynthia Wright is my favorite author. I have read and loved every book she has written. Abducted at the Altar is no exception. I loved this book because a member of the St. Briac family, Christophe, has been commissioned by the King of France to accompany Marie de Guise from Paris to Falkland Castle in Scotland so that she may meet her new husband, James V, King of Scotland. Then Christophe is to take up residence to serve as architect and Master of Masons as he oversees the rebuilding and modernization of Falkland Castle. It is here Christophe meets a lovely lass from the Isle of Skye, Fiona Rose McLeod. This story has well researched history, great characters, danger, treachery, and romance! You’ll love it!
Beautiful story! I didn’t want it to end. Looking forward to the next one.
