About a Vampire
Laughed a lot but could have done without the excessive amount of explaining going on.
Not my favorite
I have read about 15 or so books out of this series and have loved every single one of them. This one was just okay if that. I really felt that Bricker deserved better. The story line was just okay. Also, as someone who has read so many of these books and has gotten to know all of these characters it honestly broke my heart that Justin got such a bad wrap. Yes he had given his friends and coworkers a hard time when finding their life mates, but he still always tried to help. In his own funny way. I was really put off at how the others “helped” him when all of them pretty much cry about how important a life mate is only to “repay” him in this cruel way. I also found the ending a bit convenient. I mean yea not a single book so far has ended in anything other than a happy ending but this was a bit much in terms of how all the pieces landed (kind of predictable). All in all my least favorite book. Still love the author and all the other books I absolutely adore and have re read probably a million times haha which is why I was so disappointed with this one. If you are new to this series I really recommend you start with another book. They really are great books, just not this one.
Disappointing
I used to read Sands books, then I took a break for five years and just recently decided to pick up some of her books again.
This is the first book I read since my break and it was just so disappointing.
I couldn’t find myself to like the heroine. She just wasn’t a like able character. I can’t stand people who get easily sick over seeing a fish head or tasting garlic mixed with beer. Prissy, weak characters aren’t my favorite.
Justin wasn’t any better. I’m tired of the vampires explaining what they are without showing physical proof. Flash your fangs, show inhuman strength. Why do we have to deal with the ‘you’re crazy’ spiel? It’s boring and then I just think that the vampire must be an entire idiot for not doing more.
Not also here for the slut-shaming. Jeez a lot of y’all are just showing your age when y’all turn up your noses to certain outfits. Like I’m sorry you don’t like your body. Can’t relate tho. Catch me at the club wearing a skin tight dress, while y’all uptight people get frustrated over what other women choose to wear.
