This is the case for Genesis Bordelon. She's an emergency room physician at NOLA's main trauma center. By chance, that's where she met Chainsaw of the Voodoo Bastards MC; when he landed in her trauma bay as a critical patient during the Bastards' civil war.

She would have forgotten all about him, but for the fact that she had grown up in the MC life, and the bloodstained card he'd handed her, with a number and any favor she could ask attached to it.

The biker owed her, the club owed her… still, she knew how easy it was to get tangled up in the life. She'd spent the better part of hers trying to escape it.

Now it's some years later, and Genesis is in big trouble. She saw something she shouldn't have, and the cops are no help. She isn't eager to cash in the chit that she's owed, but she's backed into a corner – and sometimes, it really is better to take your chances with the devil you know rather than the one you don't.
