This triggers imagination and excitement when viewing the photograph. The authors provide in-depth discussions covering effective methods, techniques, and tips for shooting abstract images. The book is filled with abstract images. Specific photo tips on provided for many abstract images.
This volume focuses on abstract photo opportunities created out of despair, decay, and disrepair. Human nature is such that many gravitate toward locations that are colorful, shiny, and new. However, from an artistic and photographic perspective there is something to be said about locations that have definitely seen better days. The authors have increasingly been drawn to areas in varying states of ruin and disrepair. Some are well-known historic sites while other areas are towns with neighborhoods and urban areas that are aging, not well-maintained, or even abandoned. However, even in some of these areas there are pockets of homes and businesses where people still have pride, are painting with bright colors, generating street art and murals, and attempting to renew hope for revitalization. The photos in this book reflect the beauty that still exists amidst despair.
