Achterhoek

A story of Anna and Tom, children of German and Dutch immigrants who came to Canada after the Second World war. With their friend Sam they form a triangle of love and friendship that endures through the years despite the tragedy that affects Anna when her father dies in mysterious circumstances. She is forced to confront the past of her parents and travels back to Germany. Tom likewise must make a similar journey back to the east of Holland, the Achterhoek, where he discovers terrible secrets that disturb both his life and Anna's.
