The man with allergies never gets the girl
Or at least, that’s what restaurateur Ian Zamora believes. Too bad he’s allergic to his sometimes-girlfriend’s cat. To rid himself of his sensitivities, he visits allergist Petra Lale – never expecting to find himself attracted to the woman helping him.
Petra is intrigued by Ian’s quiet strength and sexy body, but her solo practice is new and struggling. She can’t afford to compromise her ethics – or risk her medical licence – by dating a patient.
Love is nothing to sneeze at, but Petra must decide if Ian is worth the risk. Or is curing herself of love worse than the disease?
This fun and sexy romance is ideal for fans of Christina Lauren and Alisha Rai.
'Lang writes funny, feisty, and quirky characters finding love in all the wrong places.' Alyssa Cole, award-winning author
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Setting her Practice Perfect series off with a heart-warming bang, Ruby Lang proves herself here as a clever writer of addictive rom-coms. Looking to regain the spark in his life, restauranteur Ian Zamora is languishing with a sometimes-girlfriend, but something ignites when he attends an appointment with allergist Petra Lale. Petra is keen on Ian—especially his gym-honed body—but she simply can’t afford to compromise her ethics, and potentially lose her medical licence. Fresh out of medical school, she must decide if the risk of dating her patient outweighs the anguish of passing up the perfect chance for love. Speaking directly to a generation blighted by casual situation-ships and social FOMO, Lang delivers a delightful story of ethics versus instinct.
Customer Reviews
3 1/2 stars for the author’s skill in writing
You may like this book, if you find overthinking, obsessive characters entertaining. The author of this book is obviously intelligent, and possesses a humorous wit. Those factors carried me almost halfway through the story. Ultimately, I gave up on the book without completing it. I was unable to laugh at (or with) the high maintenance, neurotic, self-destructive heroine. Instead I found her character to be sad and tedious.
Acute Reactions
First time reading this author. The story contains humor, descriptive bedroom scenes, and a very frustrating main character named Petra. At first I felt like it was going to be a story that I couldn’t get into, but finally I did.
Great Book!
I really enjoyed this book! Loved the characters and the plot was cute.
