Adelais

This is the story of twelfth generation Sutran, Pila, who knew of only one world; the endless underground sanctuary of Sutra. Four hundred years ago, when the chemical war destroyed life on Earth the leaders of men chose a select few to move into an underground haven away from the toxic air above. Over the years Sutra was dug out from beneath their feet, deeper and deeper into the Earth’s core.

Above their city under the sand, unknown to the residents of Sutra, Zachary and his people are struggling to survive. In a bizarre twist of fate the quiet and unassuming Pila finds herself amongst them on the Surface, coming face to face with a dangerous world she thought she would never see and trapped in the middle of a great lie that nobody saw coming.
