Adept

Even without the proper ceremony, Sen has become an adept Doctor-Diviner, and moved that much closer to becoming a master.

The responsibility cuts into her as deeply as the mark cut into her skin, and her work takes her far from home. The land and its people have great need of healing, and there are few Doctor-Diviners left who truly understand how to give it. Jackal and Crow still linger near her, cryptic and mocking as always. The mystery of a broken necklace, said to belong to the goddess Thielle, looms over the minds of the powerful.

Ravantha still claims Sen as her daughter, and now Lord Thefare claims her as well as one of his household through his despicable brother, Lord Fuluns. Suspicion and anger grow between the Westvell, Ravantha's domain, and Thefarland.

Both seek to use her… and Sen will not be used.

ADEPT is the second book in the trilogy of Sen of the Woods, where old wounds are unearthed and danger is too close for comfort.
