I thought this book was amazing and really helped me take my baking to the next level. Some of my earliest memories are from baking around the holidays, family recipes that have been passed down from generations.
While I have a lot of baking experience, it was primarily the family recipe. Jaclyn, the author of this book helped me understand why my recipes had certain instructions and how the science of it all actually works.
I don’t really have a good eye when it comes to artistic creativity, however, the pictures and descriptions Jaclyn includes allowed me to surprise my family at Christmas. My brother and sisters assumed I had purchased baked goods at the local bakery since my treats looked professional! Once they tried one they realized it was actually our femily recipes! I ended up buying copies of this book for each family member and they all loved it!
