Undead and vegan? Not the afterlife this girl had planned.
Waking up thin is one thing. But waking up gaunt, hangry, and undead makes for a very bad day. Mallory's killer better hide, because she's just discovered blood, meat, and dairy don't agree with her, and a future with no cheese is grim indeed. She's out to find her killer...and maybe a vegan cheese that doesn't melt her nose hairs.

A healthier afterlife!
Austin native Mallory’s life actually improves after she’s turned into a vampire, except that her turning was an accident, she wasn’t expected to survive, and if she succumbs to blood lust, she’ll be executed. Good thing she can’t drink the stuff! But now this not-exactly-a-vampire has to figure out how to survive on carrot juice, solve her murder, and oh yeah, maybe help the archaic world of the supernatural embrace something more appropriate for Austin’s progressive vibe!
Original idea for sure and a truly fun read. Again I knocked this out in less than 8 hours. Always something interesting around the next coffin ⚰️. Too funny. Janet E would be proud to have Cate as an accolade. Makes you wonder what’s making this baby vamp so special.
A new way of deciding what’s most important
a funny but insightful vamp adventure series.
becoming a vegan vamp, unable to eat blood, and adapting to the new happy - looking beyond the things she spent so much of her previous life fighting for, and focusing on the happy, and also helping others adapt.
a fun twist that accepts and embraces the tragic, and uses it brilliantly.
