After Jesus

Before Jesus left the Earth, He left a pivotal commandment for His believers. If they waited in Jerusalem, they would receive power when the Father's promise came upon them. So, after He ascended to Heaven, one hundred and twenty believers gathered in a room and waited.

The Holy Spirit is not a force or power-He is a person and one of the Trinity. In fact, Jesus described Him as the one who would come after Him and accompany believers on Earth and beyond. As Jesus helped believers on Earth for three years, the Holy Spirit would come and be their Helper forever.
