There are books you read, and then there are books that read you. Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros was one of those experiences for me—the kind that leaves you sitting in silence after the final page, staring at nothing in particular, just... processing. It's strange how fiction can sometimes hold up a mirror to your own life, reflecting back truths you weren't quite ready to acknowledge.
I picked up this book expecting a fantasy romance, something to escape into during a particularly gray season of my life.
