Great story and characters. Kept me engaged to the end.
Carelessly written
I dislike giving a negative review but I actually didn’t get too far in this book. I got so annoyed that I couldn’t continue. Firstly, the investigator met the Fire Chief in his office and he offered her coffee and then she laughed into the phone. Was she drinking coffee in his office, or talking to him on the phone? Secondly, the investigator visited the local attorney who came out of his office to see her and the next thing she is doing is pounding on his desk. Was he in or out of the office? I pay attention to details! Why didn’t the author.?
