Great book but...
I loved the book and the story and it left me off feeling very warm and it had a lot of what other books lack (can’t say without spoiling) but it does have a lot of pop culture references which at times felt funny and relatable but at other times felt too over bearing. But you can tell the author put a lot of her personality in to her book and though it is relatable it does feel like I’m reading a self inserted fanfic (not a bad thing if you don’t know much of the author) the overall story and message I got from it was good and I will be rereading
Again, but better
This is my second time reading this, first when i was 19 now at 25. Re-reading this, now married and on the other side of the country from the first time I read it, I related to Shane so much more and deeply. I truly appreciate this book so much
2025/2026 Review
What a lovely book this was for me! I have been wanting to read it since it was released, but then COVID happened. Loved all the characters. I didn’t anticipate some of the events that happened in the book, for what a great surprise. Awesome references. And Pilot & Shane belong together like that Taylor Swift song!
